Does anyone else have a problem contacting them, or is it my internet provider. The link export@wortec.co.uk does not work for me. I tried to send an email and the said it was an invalid addres. Is there another way I can find out how much it would be to send the switchable exhaust with the electric controller to the states. Thank you.

Did you try exportsales@wortec.co.uk - that's the mail address I found from their website.

Thanks everyone for the help! I hate the value of the dollar. I wish I good afford to get the Wortec Exhuast, but it would end up costing me more than a brand new Magnacharger. Times like these I wish I lived Europe or Oz.

For goodness sake man you live in America, home of the LSx range. All of us are buying our stuff from the USA and paying loads in shipping and VAT. You have loads more exhaust choices where you are and you don't need to buy a Wortec.

It's like we UK guys moaning about the price of American Bowler hats and cricket bats!

What's the name of the American exhaust system with the electrically switchable silencers?

There isn't one. They have the exhuast on the new Z06s, but they dont work on our GTOs. I have looked everywhere for one, and nobody offers one, or has even heard of it. People tell me to get a Borla catback, and put electric cutouts on it. The only way I knew about an swithcable exhuast is because my boss had a M3 with the Remus kit on it. Which they don't offer for GTOs.

I know, but what I am looking for is only overseas. In my area there is no emissions checks, vehicle inspections, or exhuast noise laws. I can run headers into straight pipes, but everyone here does that. I wanted something loud when I want to have fun, and quiet when I am with a girl going out. If y'all are looking for parts let me know and I can probally find them cheaper than you would expect. I know where I live there is a lot of LSX parts plentiful. L96 heads are the norm, and there is even an LS7 GTO where I live. I was looking for something unique.

Where do you think the valves for the switched part come from? Check out the likes of QTP electronic cut outs for example. Just get your local shop to fab some up. Sure they are not off the shelf items, but you can even buy a Y pipe to put after the cats or similar and just dump the exhaust smile Even better.. open headers.. Just depends on what you want.

The Wortec Exhaust is all nicely made to fit, but you can duplicate the same with some effort.

Think you will find most girls like it loud... unless like you said all other cars are loud.
