BEWARE, I may be wrong but, there are at least two adverts in both the Audi and BMW areas of the classifieds section that are under priced or appear cheap that are arrarently located in the UK, however when you email the seller you are told that the car is in Madrid, the seller is in the Navi and needs to sell the car quickly, he can not or will not talk on the telephone the only communication is via email, the cars are with a shipping agent awaiting dispatch to the lucky new owner, the shipper requires FULL payment and acts as a third party between seller and buyer, this is a very unsatisfactory method in my opinion, I was serious about the Audi and got into a online chat with the shipper and thankfully got cold feet and pulled out of the deal, I then saw the cheap 5 series BMW, enquired and got exactly the same response, car in Madrid, car with shippers etc etc.

As I said I may be wrong but beware.

PH should investigate this ASAP.

The adverts have a womens contact name, but only a man responds ?

Was it the Q7 the A8 or the S3 (pics and details all nicked off e-bay adverts), there is also now another A8.

The prices are stupidly low, ie £10,000 or more under realistic price.

Autotrader has been getting these type of ads for months, generally for Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen premium models offered at massive discounts. Details are usually and obviously taken from e-bay (i.e. they dont even bother to reword the advert), its annoying that they are now on here too but also annoying that the adverts are not being removed when reported.

Seriously who the hell would sell a desirable car for £10k less than its trade in value ?

A warning about this wouldn't be a bad idea at the top of the classified page. There is another thread about this regarding a BMW compact on Ebay.
