GROWL - Ride Drive taster sessions (free)

This is a great offer from Julian at Ride Drive:
A pre booked 35 minute FREE Ride Drive mini session which will include a 10 minute talk through followed by a 25 minute drive out.
An automated booking scheme is now availbale on the Ride Drive web site which is :

There is an extra ingredient to the sessions at Roar (Lidfest). Ride Drive are going to have a specially equipped motorcycle with us, which is rigged out from stem to stern with video recording equipment. We will also have portable equipment that will fit in a TVR and will be offering, by use of a separate booking list, the opportunity to have the free Ride Drive mini-session filmed and sound recorded, not only from inside the car, but by the motorcycle that will follow that car around the route.
The footage that is recorded by the video equipment will be edited onto DVD and supplied to the TVR owner at a cost of £9.99 each. The proceeds of this will be used to cover the cost of hiring the motorcycle and rider for the two days, plus his hotel accommodation.
Lets support Julian as he has been good to us over the years and lets get these slots booked up quickly.
We would ask that anyone who books make a donation to the chosen charity, as you are getting a lot here for nothing.

Having spoken to our video man I need to put right an inaccuracy here. It appears that the manner in which the recording will take place is that sound will be recorded from within the car, which will be transmitted via radio link to the video recording equipment carried by the motorcycle. So, what you will have is the exterior of the car being filmed and matched with a sound recording of your Ride Drive coach advising you from the passenger seat. The opening piece of this thread suggests that a camera will be mounted in your car, which is incorrect. I hope this puts things straight and I apologise for misleading you.

Not a problem - it's a free world (at the moment at least). I expect the list to fill up well before the event anyway. Don't forget, people, there is a list for non-video runs as well if any of you are camera shy or just plain don't want your drive supplied to you on DVD. We were just doing the plain runs at ROAR and yet we were still over subscribed.Any questions anyone, please just shout.
