the new 2009 model year XKR on the motorway, and i can report back it looks really really nice. At first i wasnt keen on the new style rear lights, but on actually seeing them they're stunning.

Place your ORDERS!

Sorry its pointless, but i felt i had to share!

Looks good, not sure I'll like the loss of the gear lever though as it is so easy to flick it over to sport mode and back.

Stupid Jag, I guess that's what I get for getting the car when it came out...a face lift already???

I like the new tail lights though, anybody know if those are for sale? The other improvements are looking nice, the new side mirrors look bigger and I see they went with the Merc turn signal style on them. They are just turning it into the concept, wish Jag would have done that from the start.

I guess there will be similar changes for the XK as well. I'm just about to sign the dotted line for an XK Convertible. At least the residual value will be protected by the agreed final payment under the current Jaguar Priviledge deal.

The new lights would probably be available as soon as the new car. Im guessing September time, but don't hold me to it! If you want, il take your car (for a small fee) then u order a new one!

Sounds idea good!

One thing you need to know about Jaguar is that they always evolve their models throughout the build cycle. This is a small face lift for 2008 (the new alloys look fab! It looks like they have changed the 'orrible vents below the fog lights too.) As is rumoured, from next year you will get the all new 5.0ltr V8 in both normally aspirated and supercharged forms. The performance enhancements from the XKR-S will be available as options as well. I think I prefer this way of doing things, unlike BMW or Merc. In this respect you still get the XKR, but it's just a bit better, it doesn't however detract from your own car if you should see the slightly revised model parked next to you at the golf club.

I think you need to see whats happening with the XF and new XJ to see where the XK is headed. As was the case with the last model, the end of the line car is just about perfect, but technology will have you wanting something different by then.
