Lovely looking piece of kit. Agree about it being a great colour - but then I'm biased. No doubt some fool will be along shortly to tell you how blue ones are faster...

My blue one is not only faster but, in this day and age, it does more MPG!

Welcome to the fold.

The seatbelts are sensitive to the bottom fixing being just right but even so, my passenger belt has to be hand fed back (awaits sarky comments/graphics) and won't go back at all if the seat is right back.

I have been told that adjustment is better in the first place than replacement.

I took the belt right off and tried it on the bench and there was just no return at all on it. however i will be sure and pay attention when fitting the new one to get it vertical.

And its the first time i have got my hands dirty on a car in years biggrin im loving it again (already thinking of replacing all ignition leads plugs etc )
I need to work out wether its a bit stuttery when pulling off because im not giving it enough gas or if its missing slightly

That sounds a bit too far gone to me. I think replacement belts are about £45 but I am not sure what the spec / original type is.

I have put ACT leads and extensions on as one of mine was bent and misfiring. I also changed the coil but not the rotor arm as ACT told me to keep the original if it was working as new ones are of inferior quality.
other s argue that standard leads are cheaper and just as good but the blue or red leads do look smart anyway.

I'm not sure if the stepper motor might be the cause of the stuttering, I will leave that to those more knowledgeable than I to comment.
DIY cleaning is an easy job if you don't break it putting it back in weeping
Carefully try just a few more revs first and see what happens.
