Retrofit 3 point center belt?

I've been away from BMW ownership now for a few months; going from an E36 318iS coupe to a 1.8 Laguna has been quite a shock ....

Reason for the change was family .... and didn't have the money at the time to move up to a (decent) 5 series

But one thing that got me whilst looking around was that none of the E36 or E46 that I saw had a 3 point center belt.

Is there any way of retrofitting such to them? An E36 318iS saloon would be my perfect "family" car if I could have all 3 kids safely in the back.

Pah, when I was a lad our cars never had belts in the back and last time I checked I'm still alive.

Me too .... no seatbelts and vinyl seats in a mid 70s cortina .... but then our parents didn't really care about us that much .... ?

Little miffed - if I'd known of them at them 4/5 months back I'd still be driving the iS ....
