Two More Engine Questions

Hello all, I am in the planning stages of a new GTR build (very excited) and wondered if you could give me some advice on 2 engine issues:
(1) I have access to a 2nd hand BMW M5 4.0V8 (about 400hp), will this fit and would it be a good choice, any experiences on here etc ?
(2) if i go the chevvy option, any experiences with British American Engines, are they a good supplier ?
