Growl Charity - Ride Drive Sealed Bid Auction
Discussion
We've been extremely fortunate this year to receive a very special and very kind donation from Julian at Ridedrive of 2 half day Ridedrive vouchers. Following the success of last year, we are going to auction this prize off in a secret sealed bid auction.
These half day sessions go for £135 each (incl. VAT) so you can see the value of this prize. We’ll be keeping the vouchers as one prize as experience shows that after you attend one session it is a good idea to practice what you've learned before taking the second session. So the prize value is a whopping £270…!
The charity this year is the Fire Brigade's Victims of Fire Charity. This is especially poignant given the Growl location, as 4 firefighters local to Ettington lost their lives fighting a warehouse fire last November. We gave this some thought and, following the support we gave to the Air Ambulance last year, have selected another charity with some connection to motoring.
So, to enter...
- Please send me (MrsFFG) an email with your highest bid (bearing in mind the value of the prize and that its for charity). You can email me through my profile on PH or the TVRCC.
- Please state in your email which prize you’re bidding on.
- Please include your mobile number so I can get in touch if I have a query.
- Closing date for bids is 7.00pm on Wednesday 6th August 2008.
- If we have a tie (i.e. 2 or more bids the same). I will ask all
parties if they wish to up their offer.
- I will sit on all the bids and the winner will be announced at this years Growl.
This really is a superb prize to win and widely regarded as one of the best upgrades that you could do to both driver and car.
Any questions, please let me know
Thanks
