Rear "speaker" in T350

I have a 2005 T350 with NXT flat panel speakers in the doors, but a single mid range speaker in the middle of the rear section. This is where most T350s seem to have a storage space and speakers either side.

Can anyone give me any details as to why mine is different? Also to access the rear lights it looks like there is no velcro panel and I would need to undo the pvc cover that looks like a mini "roll-bar".

I am considering upgrading the stereo/speakers and would like to know how easy it may be to revert back to the twin speakers & storage compartment setup.

Two rear speakers, no central storage, here...

ETA- no velcro panels that I can see. Fully expecting it to be a "right bugger" to change a lamp.

Yes, you have to remove the trim (mini-roll-bar) to access the rear lights and to remove the rear badge, if you done have the center rear speaker or storage space. It can be tricky getting the trim off if it hasn't been removed before.

For those of you with the twin spkrs / storage area, how far back does the storage bit go. Also, what year is your car from.

I'm wondering whether I convert mine to the twin spkrs and try to get a central storage bit made by D&C Trim.
