Her birthday is coming up (24th) and as always, I'm a bit last-minute for her prezzie.

She loves cooking and hardly misses a day without watching the likes of Rick Stein, Gary Rhodes, Nigel Slater et al... each one is her "favourite" !

If she could spend a day with a chef - it'd make her day... I'm looking at the Novelli Academy One Day Course...

Any other suggestions?

or even this

Only thing is, she's six months up the duff, so no more than a glass of vino.

If you both want to make a weekend out of it then you could go to Swinton Park up in North Yorkshire, near Masham. Click on the Cookery School.

That's a shame. How about a nice pampering session/weekend instead, saves being on her feet all day cooking. Then save the cookery school idea for another time?

She does the Sanctuary thing several times a year... and the other place too. Getting her yet another pampering day would be unimaginative on my part. She won't see this one coming.

We're North London / Herts... the Novelli place isn't far. Just seen Hampstead Cuisine School too which is on our doorstep.

Chef with a first name 'Chico' is putting me off though. hehe

River Cottage in Dorset/Devon does some interesting courses - like going out for a day's fishing and then coming back and cooking your catch.

Edit to add: As she's pregnant that might not go down so well, nor would the butchery course if she's feeling a bit nauseous...

Me too... Esp if there's game on the agenda.

I've booked her a day with Jean Christophe Novelli.
