Is the Sag going to Goodwood?
Discussion
Does this not speak volumes though....
You've re-engineered your car.
You looking to show it off.
You pick TVRCC (no offence here) who you've managed to piss right off over the last few years and where a few of the owners no longer have faith in the company as it stands to show off your car to.
However, the next day is Goodwood FOS where there will be A LOT and I mean a lot of potential new customers.
You then don't arrange even a place holder in case the car is ready.
Then think "Oooo lets check with the car club and see if they're going" which if they had heard about it before would have loved to have exhibited the new car on the stand.
But it's all so late that nothing happens.
To me it strikes massively of very bad time planning. If you even had the smallest chance of making such a huge show (60 years of British Motorsport theme) would you not plan to be there and pull out all the stops to do it.
To me this is all a little half hearted.

I was at the FOS a couple of years back and its blatant TVR stomping ground.. A real motoring event for enthusiasts and its as British as a cup of tea.
I can understand not going for the International Motorshows etc but the FOS?? I can't think of a better place to exhibit the car's rebirth..

I agree. They already seem to be stumbling out of the gate. They have a lot to make up for especially with TVR owners that had warranty issues in the past and got no company support. The car should be going to every possible event to promote the return of the company and heal past wounds. Not hold up in the barn. It will be a tough sell in this economy unless they change their strategy. You've re-engineered your car.
