T350 rear defuser catching on the floor...DOH

Anyone else having this?

If its a bumpy street or a sharpe corner and i really really give it some the back defuser catches on the floor when the back drops.

Now i thought it wouldnt be to bad but it started to crack the fibreglass in the corners...

This common?

Happens to me when I'm giving some around the M25 when I hit the many dips on the road, oh when I got my BIG mate in the passnger side too!

Yea.. The rear end of mine drops quiet a bit when flooring it or 2 people in the car. If i put any luggage in then it does it quiet a bit.

Ive noticed from videos i taken where it touches the floor so might get better shocks on back i guess.

I did have the same on big dips in the road but since fitting Nitrons the car is lower to the ground but only hits at the back on the really big speed ramps. I have also reset the tyre pressure to 26psi which seems to work the best.

Had this on my sag - turned out the rear exhaust mounts were broken and the silencer was resting on the diffuser. Not an expensive fix

Resetting the tyre pressure will make for a nervous car and do very little else. 24 psi is optimum on a T350.

The reason I set them too 26 was at 24 the car was soft and not precise cornering. I tried various pressures and 26 seems spot on, on my car with the set up I have. No wandering and precise cornering. Each too his own I guess.

Are you sure its the tyres and not the way the car has been set up after fiting the Nitrons?

No not sure but I wanted the Nitrons set to soft for a less bumpy ride but also wanted good handling - the set up I now have seems to do both.

The only time I've scraped the rear diffuser was coming out of a car park in Monaco where there was a severe dip in the interface with the main road.

I've scraped the front splitter many more times, but less so after I had the suspension raised a few years ago - I now have around 4.5 inch clearance.
