"The two young businessmen are now the owners of a legendary British sports-car company that will no longer be based in Britain. They plan to import one model of the TVR to America in 2008, the Sagaris, to be sold here
through a 45-dealer network. Annual production will be 5000 cars.

The U.S. Sagaris will be powered by a 4.0-liter, 400-hp, inline-six-cylinder Speed Six engine sourced from Ricardo, the British firm. The final assembly will be done by Bertone in Italy. Bodies will be produced in England, and rumors say a South African source was considered. Price: $120,000."

Article from November last year.

Paxo1, how do you know the cars will be built in Italy? Are contracts in place with Italian company for this work - LOI perhaps? I thought it was still to be advised?

That looks to be the old bullst from the two young yanks that tried to opperate under the TVR banner!

From what's been said to me, parts will be made in different countries, but with no clarification on where final assembly will take place

If anything Ive been told is wrong, I am more than happy to eat my words yes

"This article was last updated on: 04/11/07, 08:49 et"

With hindsight perhaps i should have written 'i was reliably informed they are to be built in Italy'. I was told this very recently by a very well respected dealership with 'interests' in the new cars....i cant/dont want to name garage or persons for obvious reasons. If it is true (i have no reason to doubt what i was told) at least the cars will still be british designed.

No, 4/11/07 is American for 11th April 07, so that article is really old news.
