New air con vent? New door seals

Hi just fit these door seals this morning has been out in the rain all day and dry as a bone the seals are off a Ford focus, alot thicker than the original ones, also alot quiter on the road and the doors pop open easier just had to cut away a bit of rubber as you can see from the picture to let water run away best of all cost £4.00 from my local scrap yard for the pair!! just had to trim down with hack saw

Also what do you think to adding an extra air con vent to the dash which would actually blow cool air on to your face and not onto the indicator stalk/back of steering wheel?

Good idea on the dash vent,
its a bit short of space in the dash, you may find the stereo housing is a pig to get out too

found this car advertised on ph and it looks like this has an added vent on the dash!but not sure, has anybody else got one. I think I will have a go to fit one myself (gulp!)no room for error!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK done it fit new vent on dash and its great ice cool air on your face and not on the steering wheel/indicator stalk

Did you take the stereo out and what are the dimensions to the centre where you drilled?

No need to take radio out marked around the vent with a pen then scribed with a very sharpe hobby knife, removed the dash covering, then drilled around the edge of the scribed circle finshed off with a dremel/ hobby tool which cut the fibre glass then finished off grinding the edges smooth perfect fit ,but do need a steady hand! works a treat, purchased the extra vent of ebay

Looks great - I was trying to think of a way to get 'more air' a while back and gave up. This seems the simplest and most logical way (I waas looking at extending the vents to the RHS of the steering column and just hiding the mirror switch assembly away - too much hassle in the end as the aircon is 'sealed' in the left hand dash assembly.
