Just bought an e46 330, getting it on friday. 
During the test drive I *apparently* cocked up a fast 2nd-3rd gear change and generated massess of clutch slip, not a mitake I've ever made before and I've got plenty of experience of driving powerful cars. Having read up on the internet I suspect that this is related to CDV, trying to 'smooth out' my clutch action.
I'm pretty sure the clutch is ok and it's coming from a dealer so if it isn't it's going straight back.
Anyone got any experience?
Will I get use to it or is it better just to take the CDV out?

Interesting question, I've had my 330ci for about 10 months now and don't find the clutch slipping anymore however it was something that I struggled with for the first few days after changing over from a civic Type-R...
I'm sure you'll get used to it quickly but would be good to see if anyone here has actually binned the valve off and if so the results! Anyone?
