Morning all..

First of all, hi to everyone, heard good things about this forum so I've just signed up.

Just bought a 2000 plate HSV GTS.. looking for some help with part numbers / where to buy..

I need:

x4 wheel bearings
drivebelt
supercharger belt
driver's side fog lamp
x4 wheel centre cap stickers

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers, hsv_sc

Welcome and congratulations, you have IMHO the best of the breed smile Another recommendation for Monkfish, they are honestly the best I have used in over 35 years.

If its a vortec try Mark at Rapid as well. He may well have installed it in the first instance.

Yep WPUK has some good priced HSV stuff about the place especially if you want HSV branded stuff.

thanks for the responses guys.. have checked and the supercharger is a v-2 and was installed at RapidGB.

monkfish got back to me, but were £200 more expensive for a full set of wheel bearings than buying direct from oz :\

i get the feeling most parts are going to be cheaper to source from oz if you don't need them next day?

yep generally cheaper from Oz though Monkfish,RapidGB and WPUK all have the occassional bargains for sale if you happen to ask at the right time. Unfortunately its such a small market over here that for any of the dealers to carry stock it inevitably means they need to charge a "premium" price to cover costs or worse still for them they buy stock that then sits so long the "new" price drops dramatically and they're left with stuff that they paid way over the going rate for. If you don't mind the wait then buy from Oz or US, if you want it sooner expect to pay a bit extra.

congratulations! i used to have one of those....

wheel bearings - are you sure its not just the tyres and polybushed front end?

- be careful if ordering from oz - two different abs sensor plugs on the hubs - have a look and ideally take a photo to send to them prior to ordering.

smile would that be marc who sold one 2 weeks back?

it's def the bearings as lots of rumbling and whining when slowing down.

cheers for that i've given them the chassis number so i'll make sure they supply the part based on this.

Suspension top bearings were stuffed on one of mine!
The actual wheel bearings whilst be not too big to buy are quite heavy to send over.

tim your top bearings were replaced 6 months ago - so no worries there (best to replace if you put the new shocks on though - brand new bearings in the side pocket)
