Perhaps you have to wait until one comes along although the paddle shift will be very rare.

I met the chap that built that (he brought my partially finished kit off me), nice bloke and know's his stuff. Give him a call and he'll tell you about the gearbox, he runs a performance tuning place in Northampton (he's actually building my old kit to accept an LS7 with remote disabled controls as the chap who's commissioned it doesn't have the use of his legs).

That red car had over 110K spent on it before the owner ran into financial trouble, I was offered it cheaply before it went up for sale but actually the gearbox, higher spec and higher maintenance put me off (phrases like "throw a fresh crank in it and it'll be good as new" scared me). Did come with a trailer and about 4 sets of wheels though.

I also posted on here about the Hewland box and the amount of work needed to maintain it put me off, it seemed like a very very track focused piece of equipment.

It certainly looks like a track-focussed weapon but a lovely spec if that is what you are after!

Having sold my previous GTR last year (to Trevor Willard Racing) I actually bought this car last month but haven't had time to spend much time in it.

We are currently replacing the spring loaded belt tensioner with a CNC machined ally one as it keeps throwing the belt off on downshifts as the air shift system blips the throttle.

I was advised by the guy that built the car to change this before venturing out onto track.

She should be a great piece of kit when we have finished tidying her up and getting her through the SVA.

BTW - the car cost in excess of £200K to build.

Ah £200K, I knew it was very high!

I think the original owner had a lot of business dealings in the USA (property and stock from memory) that all went bad a year back.

Great bargain at circa 45K hey....
