It happpened (Williams & Red Bull) and it was excellent, good TV too, the same crowd pleasing showboating as you'd see at Goodwood, yet the back drop of The Kremlin and St.Basils Cathederal were much more dranatic, better than Monaco too, IMHO.


Will be interesting to see how Valencia and Singapore events look/run.

City racing or desert racing, or both? I'm sure Bernie will find a way to include both and probably at the expense of those events that don't have Gov.t subsisdies

To be fair the average speed would be around 2mph - the traffic in moscow is unbelievable !

It's true the traffic is shocking, but they did close 5km of road on a Sunday to run the event, so it can be done. The main streets are plenty wide enough to have overtaking spots designed in to a circuit.

I'm sure if the city was offered the chance to run a GP it would be ready very quickly (planning permission, HSE - nyet). The Champions League Final was evidence that the city has what it takes to run a prestige event.

And the pre-race night out would be a lot of fun.
