Hi All

Well after a short lay up while off on business I have come back and started the car (First turn of the key!)but I seem to have a bad case of tin worm on the manifold see piccy:

Given that it is small hole any advice on a quick fix or does the manifold have to come off for a re-weld? If so any tips on the removal would be appreciated before BBWF!

Cheers

Chris

You can get that side out by taking the bolts out then dropping it out the bottom. Not easy but doable.

I used a product called fireseal 2000 on my manifolds a couple of years ago. It held up pretty well. I've only just removed it and welded them up, as I was replacing the gaskets and fitting a stud kit.

You can get it from Frosts.

Might be OK for a temp fix.

That looks quite easy to get to - I would weld that in situ.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery to protect the altenator diodes.

Start off on a low curent until you build up the weld material, then you can up it a bit.
