993 options list
Discussion
Apparently the real 18" wheels have metal valves that are part of the wheel, the replicas don't. However I have 18" Turbo wheels (originally option 408). The rears do indeed have metal valves, but the front ones have rubber valves. I suppose the front ones could have been kerbed and replaced, but it is somewhat inconclusive.
I can't answer your question in full, but what I do know is:
The 18" wheels with the metal valve stems are most likely to be hollow spoke Porsche "Technology" wheels fitted to the 993 Turbo and optionally to the 993 C2S.
Similar-looking Porsche wheels with rubber valve stems are "Turbo-look" solid spoke and fitted (maybe optionally) to the 993 C4S.
There may also be in existence non-Porsche wheels that look the same - they'll probably be solid spoke.
Look behind each wheel, on the back of a spoke you will see a Porsche part number (if genuine Porsche) and the number differs depending on whether hollow or solid spoke. (I don't have the part numbers to hand at the moment.)
