Not the best of weekends for Pete in the PH Ginetta this weekend. A off into the gravel in qualifying & a DNF in the second race.

What the reason for retirement Pete?

as for race 2, a siezed caliper (pass front) put rest to the sterling effort Pete had made to amend his driving style to suit the newly set up car! making good progress too and he was 2 seconds per lap faster than the first race

Hopefully the race report should be up soon!

I'll also be at that round too covering the circuit from the box at Beckett's on Sunday. Perhaps we'll catch up with each other??

Fngers corssed indeed, had a great weekend and Pete seemed to enjoy the last race even if the DNF did take the sheen of it.

I'm hoping t try and work something out for Silverstone, but it will mena hotel or something for me aswell as booking a weekend off work... but I'll be doing my best

You can camp even if weather doesn't permit Suz... although it will be a tad soggy! (do you have a tent big enough for all your clothes...?) Was nice to meet you by the way, fingers crossed something comes up for you drive wise, if not, kick Pete out of the Ginetta for a race or 2!

A travel lodge is only a few quid for the night and theres a nice bed and a shower there too! will see what happens, but I will be doing my best to get there.

ps, sorry about the amount of typo's in my previous post, was in a bit of a rush and gettingt impatient about the lack of race report!

Cheers Andy for all your work at the weekend and it will be great if you could come up to Silverstone, hopefully I will have done some more testing on the car before then and will have it sorted (plus Silverstone is my new favourite track)

I have camped many times in the rain, namely last year at Silverstone when I had to race the next day!! Lets just say I prefer camping when it's fine! Having said all that I've got a wedding to go to on the Saturday so I'll be over on the Sunday, hope you do manage to get there.
I don't think Pete will let me kick him out....I'll try and get my own Ginetta for next year for a bro and sis team ....

You didn't struggle getting stuff to the pits too did you? We're getting a motor for our trolley next year!

In that case I shall let you off! Will have to dig the tent out and see what kind of condition it is in. A bro and sis team sounds quite good, take on the McCarthy's and give the PH volunteers plenty to get their hands dirty with (Peter will need a bigger gazebo mind)

We did yes... Peter was a tad indecisive at the begining of the first race after the car keys so he was late into his race suit, which got things a teeny weeny bit flustered! The weather was changeable (well it wasn't but there weresome dubious looking clouds that could have dumped alot on us) so he asked us to take the wets from the paddock to the pits, the far end of the pits! with no trolley! was good arm stengthening exercise when there were 3 of us, then Peter remembered he'd forgotten his transponder! was interesting to say the least!

Well you know I have no problem getting my hands dirty working away, so I'm sure I can handle 2 cars aslong as you both dont make too much mess! Your going to have to persuade big bro to help with the sponsorship me thinks, just think of the marketing potential of a brother and sister team in a feeder series to the FIA GT series!

As a side note, Silverstone is looking dubious for me now checked the dates and the Boss has that weekend off, so unless I have no ships in, its a no go Will keep an eye on things though.
