Probably been done to death somewhere else on here but my LP560 turns up in Sept/Oct and I have started to think about insurance.

Any ideas as to how much I should be looking at paying and who to go to ?

Think you'll find that most of us are using Chris at Michael Ward Associates 01707 266303.

Top guy.

Agreed on Chris McGrath.

Also, if you plan to do any trackdays, couple of the other specialist brokers I checked had an insufficient value limit on track, which ruled them out.

Pace Ward Financial - 01782 286311

Ask for Jeremy (Director), he is a fellow PH'er (Insbro) and petrolhead (although he drives a girly AMV8!!)

Cant recommend them enough.

Just call Chris Mcgarth and save yoruself some hassle and loads of cash, he just requoted me £9 more than last year, but since its only £1057 odd a year with a guranteed value I felt embarrased to even haggle!! if anyone knows anyone that can beat that on a murci(I have paid over double that when I had a golf gti as a kid) let me know as I have to renew in 2 days!

I dont do "cheap" when it comes to insurance Jonny (if I did I would use 'cheapo internet insurance inc'. Besides, do Michael Ward take you on corporate jollies every 5 mins? (I'm off to Uttoxeter races with Pace Ward next Thursday....where does Mike take you? smile )

Fair play Moz , but the Michael Ward policies aren't budget (been there with other insurers before and it's not worth the pain). Premium insurance, Chubb Masterpiece policies etc etc

As for Jollies , I don't think Michael Ward are creaming it in from their clients to afford such thingswink

I will reitterate MWA recommendation.

P.S. I also have experience of them acting on my behalf claiming from a 3rd party. I didn't have to lift a finger.

Guyz, I better correct this, the re-quote ws atcually £1 cheaper than last year, If I had realised that they were open to lowering the price I would def have haggled!wink(Elms, you can rest easy now)

MWA got my policies down from £5k to sub £2k

I have claimed twice (both non fault) - and they have been absolutely amazing. Makes you wonder how much the piss the other insurers are taking.

Personally I rob grannies , sell drugs , run a prostitution ring and sell guns to the Taliban.

Not saying you take the piss on your quotes Jez , but many companies do and many on here would profress that nobody is cheaper than Michael Ward Associates.

I bet many on here haven't tried the alternatives thoughwink

Also for 80k + cars cheapest is not always best when there is less than 10% in it especially if the cheapest insurer in on the financial "watch" list of the FSA as many are.

Fair play , you are more than welcome to quote me happy on my renewal !

I also agree cheapest isn't the best, but the only policies MWA offer me are Chubb , ZPC , Allianz - all agreed value and all premium policies.
