It's not every day that you take to the track with a McLaren F1, but it happened on day one of my Euro Tour 2003 last week. Top marks to the guy for driving down to Dijon from the UK in it, then spending a large amount of the afternoon giving passenger rides.

Plenty of other mouthwatering exotica was there as well: dancing donkeys, serious bits of Porker kit as well as a Noble and an Ultima Spyder.

The circuit by the way was awesome: I would recommend a trip there to anyone - plenty of fast, flowing corners with significant changes in elevation together with challenging blind brows. Couple this with south of France sunshine and cuisine and you have an unbeatable day.

Mind you, Magny Cours and Spa that followed weren't too shabby either.....

I'd be happy to write a fuller report for PetrolTed to publish if there's interest; I'm not sure I need to regail you with my "what I did on my holiday" stories here.

DID YOU GET A BIG MAC PASSENGER RIDE!!

Oh and has Alison agreed it's OK for you to buy one of these as well?

If so, I look forward to seeing it at Brunters in October.

I'm sure McLaren would do an F1 'Woodie' for Alison if she asked nicely and gave them her mog for reference
