For yours, and everyone elses information, Rob quite a number of us, including Badred paid for considerably more than just 2 BBQ tickets last year and many of us got feck all! Let alone a scabby burger.

So in an effort to prevent a similar scenario this year we spent a not inconsiderable number of hours getting permission from the Hotel to bring in our own caterers & band so as to elimate the problem of food going to the "few freeloaders" who havent paid and making sure those that have paid do get a fair slice of the cake - I wish this was not neccessary but as always its a case of the few spoiling it for the rest.

I hope that explains why its the way it is and we can now all act like grown ups and have a cracking Wedgefest Party without any hassle or problems.

Gandalf i think what rob is trying to get across is that sat i a confrence hall will lack the atmosphere of a beer garden even with a band. Money defiently wont be the reason when hes paying as much as he will be to get down there. The fact is me and mrs dixiebabes bought tickets last year and i wont eat while im on the drink anyway so food dont bother me its the crac and banter what im after like the previous 2 years.

All right then, am I right in assuming all we want is to have a good time and to enjoy the not inconsiderable camerarderie that Wedge ownership should bring about, and enjoy the Craic?

It's all starting to sound like a scene from Monty Pythons Life of Brian

"and what have the Romans ever done for us?"

"well they have introduced sanitation, laws, the aquaducts and roads"

"granted, but apart from the sanitation, laws, the aquaducts and roads, what have the Romans done for us"

We are all big Wedge boys and girls and should therefore just agree to shake hands, be friends,
and have a drink together and do whatever we prefer to do

I will drink to that
beer
Richard

PS I am only not having the Hog Roast as I am supporting my mate who can't eat Pork
(and no it isn't religious reasons - before you start grouping a Yorkshireman with a Jew)
