Any PH'ers Race In The MG Metro Cup?
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone here races in this series.
Like most people on here I'd like to start racing and had seen this series - just wondered if anyone had any ideas of rough costs / budget for racing in it.
Obviously looking for a cheap
(by motorsport standards!!) series to try and get into.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Have you looked into RallyCross? I'm about to start racing in their StockHatch racing championship and it's one of the cheapest forms of racing I've found. Plus you ge thte best bits of rallying and circuit racing too.
take a look at www.rallycrossuk.com/ for more information. There's a 'getting started' section in there too and a for sale/wanted area aswell. Basic Stock Hatch car costs £500 so for 1500 or thereabouts you could get yourself on the starting line.
Go for it!

a chap called glyn thomas wrote a book called racing ahead which is all about how he started in the MG metro turbo cup. there might be something useful in there for metro racing, actually its quite useful for anyone starting out in motorsport.....well i found it useful!!
Pablo! Are you swapping your "Andy Stobart Quality Used Car" for something else?
