Gallardo, lost its beep

When starting my G I go through the same process every time.
Key in ignition, switch on ignition, wait for various lights to go out, and finally wait for the high pitched beep to signal all is well in the world.
The beep has vanished. No warning lights, still get the big green OK on the screen.
Any idea if it is an issue or not???
