I think they've lost (or handed back) the franchise. no idea how it will affect new car orders but for servicing i highly recommend GT Autos in Burntwood (about 10 miles from Little Aston) - run by Garry Tait who used to be the service manager at Little Aston. Very knowledgeable chap and reasonably priced. Think the website is www.gtautos.co.uk

I heard they are changing to Aston Martin. Apparently they cannot get enough cars off Ferrari. Aston Martin are willing to allocate them considerably more new car slots. Makes financial sense. Nick Whale will take over the local Ferrari sales and all existing orders will be handed over to them.

oohh how does this change my position having bought a car from them in december - should I be worried? I'm presuming the new place won't have the same 'good will'? anyone know them? - that said, it might be the oppertunity to try lambo high wycombe & maranello @ eggham - both of which are closer to me.

If the are any thing like stratstone mercedes I would have hoped Aston martin would be a little more fussy who they did buisness with. Stratstone are the worse shower of sh*t I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Fingers crossed my order is still OK

Stratstone Wilmslow look after my Aston TBH the service is fantastic - the only dealer who has ever returned the car with more fuel in it than when they collected it smile

Received a letter from Stratstone Aston Martin about this today.
According to the letter the dealership will re-open in early 2009 as the new home of Aston Martin in the midlands. There should also be a letter coming from the manufacturers confirming details for sales and servicing moving forwards.

I was over at Little Aston, about a month ago test driving a Quattroporte.
The guy who I was dealing with (Anthony Dobert) was a great guy, and was not only helpful but really couldn't do enough to help.
I had my 18mth little girl with me (and a kid seat) ... and he was really good with her, despite her running around the showroom ... must have thought 'f**k sake when I carried her in !!!'
Girl on reception made me 2 coffees too !!
Obviously staff/salesmen are hardly going to be ignorant when you're potentially going to buy a reasonably priced motor, but I felt they were genuinely interested and not just trying to sell me the first thing possible.

If I could have decided to change, I would have bought from them .... no problem.

Hope their jobs are safe and they have better luck with Aston Martin.

The whole Pendragon group is under severe pressure. The whole group is worth just 49.27M, they paid circa £500M for Reg Vardy alone not too long ago. Their share price has dropped from 12p to 7.5p in the last week alone. The future doesnt look too rosy.

Thats the second time this week I've heard from someone in the trade about Pendragon being in trouble, share price says it all really.

I bought my car from Anthony IIRC, seemed like a nice enough guy.

There is a new Aston Martin garage in Hagley, near Stourbridge opening any day now. They obviously feel that Aston is the way forward.

Was talking to a friend the other day and the opening of this garage has been delayed due to the tiles Aston insist on been laid in the dealership were delayed coming from the manufacture in Italy. They must have spent a fortune on this showroom and sure they will have to do the same in Little Aston. It transforms the corner and they obviously think it must be worth it?!
