July 1 2008 Photoshop Competition Results Thread

Hi everybody.

It's a shame that we didn't get more entries this month, partly due to Blukoo scaring people off with his skills, and partly because the threads are hidden away and not very obvious to 'newcomers'.

Anyway, 4 entries so here goes:

4th place: Jack Blag

Good effort but the image of the car is very pixelated, and the cutting out could have been a bit better.

This is nice, and a good idea. I think if you had used a bigger image, and darkened the contrast on the car it would have looked more 'natrual' - At the moment it's a bit too light so looks fake.

2nd place: Lunchbox

I really like this, very different to anything i've seen. My only comment would be that the back of the car is too sharp, and in my opinion would have benefited from a little blur. Very good though.

What more can i say!?! As soon as you put it up i was thinking it would be hard to beat. I really like the detail that you went into, and my only comment would be that the headlights and the wheels are too light and could have done with the contrast altering a bit, but all in all, fantastic!



So a worthy winner this time, hopefully we'll get more entries next time. I put a topic in the Pie and Piston letting people know we do this, so with any luck we should see more entries coming through.

Anyway, over to you Blukoo for the July 2 cometition...
