In the paper tonight that the Vectra driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving..............

Why do they do it??

Aparently Polish too (that's the country rather than Auto Glym) by the sounds of it so must have been drinking Vodka. Or am I stereotyping?

When we arrived as the bits were landing, the Vectra driver was 'rather vacant' and the passenger wasn't much different.

Definitely smelt of 'substances' and wouldn't accept assistance from the paramedic/ambulance staff.

Hope the Honda driver was ok, he was looking quite poorly when he was taken away, nothing obvious, but very very pale. Was there anything about his condition in the paper?

The lady we spoke to who was behind him said the Vectra U turned out of the layby straight into his path!

Would you believe it took the feds 30 minutes to arrive at the scene, blamed the directions (though 2 ambulances, 2 tenders, 1 paramedic and 1 helicopter made it in about 5 minutes)! Good job the chap was there in the unmarked Ovlov estate wasn't it - great use of taxpayers money!

That kind of thing worries me quite a bit, seeing how two large, modern(ish) saloons fared in a head-on from such a slight and sudden error of judgement, makes me wonder how something smaller might stand a chance...

Something needs to be done about the drivers in this country!

Drive a Caterfield (or a bike I presume) and you pretty much realise that if ANYTHING hits you, you're f**ked. Focuses the mind somewhat when driving on the road and you drive massively defensively because of it.

second time ive seen/heard of this happening, one time on a the way to a bike race myself any tim (a mate) were pulling off that roundabout onto the m62 westbound to be greeted by a rapidly reversing 5 series coming down the sliproad (with polish plates on), thankfully tim swerved enough to avoid him, was a bit hairy though!

Hope this wasn't anyone at the meet!
There are a couple of 'local' Eastern European cars around the pub and they drive like idiots! There is an Espace that has left me up on the kerb trying to avoid a head on as he pulled out into the middle of the road, phone to ear, sandwich in the other hand, steering with knees!

Stu the paper said the honda driver had "minor injuries" probably just understandably shocked I guess. We were just heading up the a650 when the air ambulance landed must admit we did think the worst!

They weren't PHers (R reg accord and a P reg Vectra).

The AA said they were passing and saw the RTA, so stopped. Didn't see the PH Speed Matters logo's either! Must've been then new kite we all paid for - awaiting some more stickers!!!!
