Megahoon!

Book now if you want to get involved in this year's MegaHoon!

Just a reminder that there are still spaces on this year’s MegaHoon – a glorious drive taking in the routes of both the Mille Miglia and Targa Floria. A selection of Ferraris and Maseratis have now signed up and it should be a fantastic experience for anyone interested in cars.

The Hoons are well respected and due to great feedback we have decided to organise some for 2008, both in the UK and abroad.

The MegaHoon takes you through Italy to Sicily – home to some of the most exciting motorsport the world has ever seen. MegaHoon will retrace parts of the Mille Miglia between Bologna and Rome before heading to Sicily for two nights.

You will enjoy empty roads, beautiful countryside and the company of likeminded PHers. The event takes place between September 6 – 13 2008 so the weather should be great.

Book now or find out more about all the Hoons here.

Yea it sounds like great fun but "from £ 1,240.00 per person" does sound like a bit much for a hoon unfortunately

Ouch, that's one Mega Hoon between 5* Hotels! (Or at least hope so).

Put petrol on top of that, you're talking a minimum 4k week.

Even a long weekend trip to the 'Ring is close on £1000 at the moment.

Looks like I'll be going over to the Isle of Mann instead as I'm only a few miles from the ferrywink

The first one in 2004 cost about £900 for a single person in a car sharing a twin room with another similar, and it was brilliant. the next one I went on to Monaco in 2006 cost about £1100.

Some of us have often suggested using slightly less luxurious hotels, near a town where you can get beer and pizza type grub, in order to keep the costs down.

Nick seems to prefer to go the other way, which when all said and done, is how he wanted the business to be run, as a provider of luxury driving holidays. There is no doubt that Nick's trips are superbly organised, visit superb locations and, have superb back up and planning, but this one is certainly too steep for me I'm afraid frown

The weekend in France in October sounds like a great budget trip. 450 miles Calais to Calais would mean about 2 tanks of petrol in the average performance car and at £312 per person per night its a real bargain!!

I would love to do it this year, but a new baby puts a stop on that, but if this goes on next year i will get behind it to try to get a few lads on board!!

Get it on the cards!biggrin

If i get myself a new w end car in the next couple of months I may organise a hoon. Was thinking cross country over a couple of days to Isle of man (was actually thinking of maybe doing it midnight run type thing travelling at night to minimise plod risk) and back and maybe over to europe for a week as well at some point. But try to do it to a smaller budget. max 100 per night.
