Does anyone know or has owned this cerb P8 ADG

it previously had plates : N11 TOY and P226 NOW

its dark purple/ blackish, with cream interior.

im going to see it on the weekend and im after the background info on it.

the seller has all the receipts and history, and can fax them to me, but he is away from the fax until friday. topcats racing in aylesbury have looked after it apparently. i will be calling them soon

Get TopCats to inspect it for you.
They did for me and said mine was a good 'un. Haven't had any issues in a year
apart from the wash/wiper hose splitting. (Touches wood)

asking price is £9200 which i think is cheap but is it for a reason?

the car is too far away from topcats, im meeting the seller in aberystwyth.

im not sure when im going to look at it though as apparently it will not go into 1st gear so the seller is taking it to be fixed, he thinks its just a broken 1st gear or synchro mesh, but from reading around the forum it could be a finger broken off the clutch thats causing it but apparently that would affect other gears also.

im just waiting to for it to be fixed now.

Unless you really know what you are looking for I would strongly recommend getting it inspected by someone who knows cerberas. You could be buying a real money pit. If its cheap enough and you can afford an engine rebuild then fine, but they are getting to the age where chassis condition can be a worry.

A body-off rebuild isn't cheap. Aberystwyth is in the middle of nowhere but I would still get it trailered to a good independent to get it checked. Could end up being the best £x00 you ever spent.

Purple! That's what it is. Havnt even had anybody come to look at it. Let's face it - its so cheap at the moment its worth buying and getting it resprayed. Tell you what though, fingers crossed, I may well have found a buyer for a house. If all goes well the Cerb stays and fingers to all the t@&ts who have wasted my time over the last three months

its dark deep purple alomst black. its on pistonheads at £9500 i think have a look, someone may recognise it

8k KEEP IT! that's at LEAST 3-4k under normal 4.2's and this has had a rebuild!

If this was for sale six months ago, you wouldn't have it! Dad would have brought it!

Hope the guy has done his homework, checked the chassis, checked the engine etc...

Its funny really - I was talking to my dad about the car and I mentioned that if I had the money I'd get it resprayed a lovely shade of mediocre. £2k should just about do it.

He said "dont you dare. Purple makes the car unique" - He's right!

So this weekend I advertise the BMW. Keep the Cerb. Job done!
