can someone tell me the correct timing mark for my 94 chim 4.0 . its a bit lumpy at low speed.

Don't understand??? Do you mean ignition timing?
The cars can tend to be lumpy at low speed anyway.

Yes ignition timing . i get a spitting noise when going slow, sounds coming from l/h engine bay,i thought it may be spitting back through air intake due to timing being too advanced.??

hmmm ... not sure this is the cause of your problem but ... th timing should be set at about 28 @4000 rpm don't rely on the idle setting or you may over advance at the top end. Check the action of the vacuum advance and if it is causing an erratic idle or irratic increase in advance as the revs increase then disconnect altogether and try again ... there is no reason you have to run the vacuum if it is causing problems .. just blank off the plenum nipple.
