E36 323i- miles to tank, and size of tank?

Have a friend considering one, would appreciate the above information from an owner, many thanks.

60 litres on an E36, anything from 25 to 35 mpg depending on use.

More like the 25mpg round town then so about 330 miles to a tank.

In a 98's' touring, I managed to squeeze 27mpg in mostly town driving, by being v v careful with the go pedal, its a tad heavier, and prob less aerodynamic too.
32mpg ish on the motorway if you're easy on the gas, I seem to get 400+ on 1 tank of motorway, it goes down to about 20mpg for driving with gusto.

Only a closer inspection it's actually a 65 litre tank, but the light comes on with about 8 litres remaining I've never put more than 60l in a fill up.

Is he likely to get the same/similar from an E39 523i?

As above its got 65 litre tank, i can squeeze 400+ miles if i'm take it easy. I've done a tank in 260 mile before though.
