The guy said there mid-range tyres and there good stuff. Any information on this tyre make? Anyone got any experiences etc?

I'll second that, you do get what you pay for with tyres.

Thanks guys, im going for some Pirelli P7's all around. But whats the cause of my car juddering and the jerky gear changes?

Marangoni have been around for years - I knew of them about 15 years ago when they were a budget, but not too shabby tyre.

If you can afford something better like your Pirellis then go for it.

As for the juddering, could be any number of reasons. How many miles has it done, etc?

Its done 42500, it was neglected by its last owner as they mix and matched the tyres and generally didnt take care of it. But it needs a service so it should be going into VW soon. The last recorded service was 2 years ago. Could that be the reason?

Warp disks, buckled wheel, bent wishbone...

VW will do a thorough inspection as part of your service (assuming full, not just a quick lube service) and should be able to reccomend any required work based on this.

Servicing every 2 years isn't unusual - They're long life nowadays...

I suspect Clutch - especially if it's been caned, but as posted above, VW will give you the full S.P.
