Hi All,

I have a "portfolio" of about 30 domain names and I want to sell them all, they are all parked at present with Sedo.

I'm sure like everyone selling domains they want to sell them quickly as possible.

The question to you guys is could anyone direct me to a good site to sell them on other than Sedo?

Also could anyone give me some good tips on ways of promoting them for sale other than the whois trick.

I have had a valuation and 2 are worth ££££.

Thanks,

Loads of the registrars have started listing aftermarket domains - I'd suggest listing on as many of these as possible. I've also seen the equivalent of PH specifically related to trading domains so probably worth a quick Google.

At the end of the day though they're only really worth as much as someone's willing to pay!

We buy TLD's usually fresh registrations with a Google search volume indications, but also from brokers / investors. If you PM me your portfolio with guide price per name I will have a look. Can't promise to buy any, obviously, especially if the names are outside our usual business sectors, but wont hurt to try.

Please note we only usually acquire .com and co.uk extensions / .net or.eu will have to be exceptional names.

+1

We recently alighted on a brand name for a new CMS we were developing and found that the .com for the name had been taken by someone who wasn't using it.

I called them and found out they had bought it for a reason but ended up not needing it. "brilliant" says I - "we'll give you £50 for it" (it cost them £2.50)

"oh no" says the owner "I want £3,000 for it"

Now remember this isn't a valuable name - its a made up word like zoopilala so of no value to anyone else.

I laughed so much I had to hang up. WE thought up a different and actually much better name and bought all the domains possible.

My advice is be flexible. Allow some to go fo rless than you think they are worth because they have no physical value and people will have a set limit that they will go to.
