Another one I'm hoping to catch, as on hols now.

Too much traffic for the Wedge though...don't want to stress her out.

Oh, and we'll be on our way (son & I) to camping in France and Spain. smile

I'm going to the Wedge Fest an Saturday
then hoped to stop off at Silverstone
on the way back up on Sunday.

There are others coming down in convoy with me
so some may chose to go to Silverstone as well

Cheers
Richard

Rang the Tvr office about if there is any Tvr official presence or any tvr parking area , answer was NO to both , wonder why not ? So not that keen to leave wedge in public park as things can happen . Not going in the 4wd either as that would be bleedin sad !

Just checked the tvr 'classic' pistonheads and 3 are going so need to find out where they park up .

Seeing as the organisers of Silverstone Classic seem to be hungry for sports, classics and supercars to put on display around the Silverstone Circuit for the classic, you would've thought that the TVRCC would've jumped at the chance and arranged for group book tickets!!

Shame on them

I think you're right.
I'd take my Wedge to a lot more places if I thought parking would be secure and PROPERLY supervised.

Who wants people climbing all over their p&j ?

...Might not be a £50,000 car, but costs about the same to fix scrapes and scratches. frown

Thing is, if the TVRCC would've jumped on this one at the beginning (as did the Corvette Club, Lotus Club, MG Club, Sporting bears etc) members displaying cars would've received tickets at a discounted rate AND got another ticket free...day passes or weekend!

Well TVR have a pretty illustrious sporting heritage, so it would have been entirely appropriate for our club to seek representation, and recognition of our status as current owners and drivers of one of the last true British sports
cars, and one that has a current race series.

A couple of quid off a ticket is neither here nor there to me, but the feeling of being made welcome, and a little bit special for the day would have been appreciated.

FYI 2 years ago I arranged TVR specific parking and subsidised tickets for the Sunday after BBWF but after extensive postings only received 1 confirmed booking - so was not a viable thing on that occasion.
