There won't be any organised by the Lamborghini Club, because they only do an Annual Dinner and an AGM these days.

...many thanks for that helpful and informative comment Derek!

LCUK DOES have a number of 'outsourced' events we are associated with, as the least inspection of page 3 of LCUK's RV and our website will show to Club Members!

In terms of events specifically in the north, then where is the 'north'? As far as I know, there is a big show near me in Southport in September that will have at least one Diablo attending and with a bit of luck, perhaps a few more Lamborghinis can be persuaded to be there as well. That will depend on the encrusted Ferrari and Porsche people who usually attend not minding us upstaging them, you know how touchy they can be sometimes, especially 'local area' sections of giant car clubs...

If the OP means further north than, say, Bedfordshire or even further west than St. Albans, this year we've been taking part in various shows and track events at a number of locations... it just takes a certain willingness to pay attention to know where they are, difficult if you're feeling trapped the 'far' side of the M25, I know...

This weekend there is a bunch of LCUK cars (and others) bound for Calais and beyond. Of course, Calais IS in the north, the north of France...

The OP might have wandered to Scotland back in May when he would have seen a number of Club and not-Club Lamborghinis at the Scottish Motor Show @ Knockhill or perhaps have headed to Bristol recently where a few of 'us' were involved on the city centre street show there or may even have seen a run from central London out to Clievedon (sp?) recently where the ticking of hot Lamborghini engines cooling was drowned out by the chatting and laughter of people from LCUK and beyond.

A lot of LCUK Members have convoyed together to race meetings recently - Brands Hatch last weekend for example - these convoys/meetings are usually listed here on PistonHeads - there should be a simiilar one Donington-bound at some point soon...

I admit, we've not had a great raft of specifically Club events this year. LCUK is a growing but still small Club and is reliant on the input of a number of people all the time. Sadly, we are also very prey to problems created when people promise their help, offer their support and pledge their efforts and then just don't do any of that sort of thing...

Could be worse, all the Club Lamborghinis could be locked away laden with fears about fuel costs and worries about needing extensive cleaning or else some other maintenance issues - then we'd really be knackered...

Thankfully there are still lots of Lamborghinis that are used and driven regularly. For example, some new fuel pipes and a repaired exhaust should hopefully see a certain green coloured car getting some road use very soon, probably/certainly not with me driving but hey, that's life.

Two of our Club cars will feature @ Excel for the British Motor Show in the Heritage Marquee - these wont now include a Diablo but should include a near-perfect Miura and Countach QV. The option to have a Diablo there passed and so, it'll just be the two cars...

Lamborghinis are still regularly visible in the media. A recent call out for an early spec. Gallardo has located the services and assistance of a Club Member whose car should feature in Autocar soon and if the ongoing 'pressure' to provide vehicles to the press continues as it has for the last few years or more, there will be ever more LCUK cars seen in magazines and on screen as well. Again, it just takes a willingness to be involved...

Thanks for the replies guys, think I'll have to keep an eye on the forums.

Shame no big club gatherings, shows or runouts guess the fuel price at the moment doesn't help.

If you would dates times etc of any of the above please PM me and will be happy to give them to you.

Well at least you can't argue it's not true.
