Why am I so excited ??
Discussion
Just wondering: As a chap on the hunt for his first TVR (Chimaera 4.0 hopefully,) why I'm so bl&&dy excited? I'm really really excited, can't think about too much else... Tried to explain it to my beautiful girlfriend but I can't... explain... why!!! I'm thinking it might be the flutted aluminimum knob for opening the doors. Or maybe the way the heater fan control is gently backlit. Or maybe its simply what happens when you move your right foot. Any thoughts... Whats your favourite bit??
Everything.......from the noise it makes in the garage every morning on startup, to the noise it makes on tickover, to the noise it makes on acceleration, to the noise it makes in second in built up areas/ under bridges, to the noise it makes when you push it, to the noise it makes when you let off the accelerator, to the noise it makes in the garage every night.........
I think it's mainly the noise !
The pain in the cheeks I could do without.......all that grinning !!

Reckon this is one car that the whole far outweighs the sum of the parts
I love mine still after 2 years and still get the manic laugh every now and again when driving it. I even get withdrawal symptoms (like PMT) when I don't drive it for a day or two.
I remember when I picked it up, the first thing I did was turn off the radio and wind down the windows!

If you are excited now, just wait until you have paid the deposit and have to wait a few days to pick it up. Sleepless nights are quite common.
My girlfriend still thinks that I am very sad when it comes to the car. She always takes the piss when I park it up and as I'm walking away keep turning round to admire it.
But the noise and acceleration are very addictive.

Yes it is very normal to be excited. I remember when I bought my first Chim on a Saturday and had to wait until the following Saturday to pick it up. I was an emaciated, insomniac wreck
by the time I picked it up.
The drive home was amazing. I still burst into randomn manic laughter whilst driving her, especially after driving through the tunnels in Leeds

I'll never be a TVR virgin again... Unless there is some kind of operation that I'm not yet aware of
