I opened the bonnet on my 2006 2.7 TDI yesterday and the Sound deadening material attached to the underside of the bonnet had come detached around the edges and was hanging loose.

The material is held in by poppers but there is no way that it could be reattached beacuse it had shrunk to the extent that the the material would not reach the fitting points and fitting holes in the material had ripped open.

Anyone else come accross this beacuse I am about to have a go at Jag

I`ve the same model Jaguar, mines ok and never heard of this problem before.
Has the insulation been off before I wonder, possibly during frontal repairs ?

It'll still be under warranty. Just go in and get them to sort it for you.

It's in today but it often helps to know if anyone else has had the same problem when having meaningful discussions with the dealership
