These are my adverts.....

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/609491.htm

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/619092.htm

Both say they are live, but I can not find them at all. Nor can anyone I have asked to try either.

Seacrh in the filter for 320d touring and see what you come up with.

I even sat for and hour going through every page of 3 series and it is not there.

Any ideas??

Don'yt mind upgrading to premium ads, but not till I know they will show.

Have you read the FAQ at the top of this forum? Normal ads will come after Premium and Garage ads.

Edit: There's your E92: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=132&am...

And there's your E30 (4th one down). So they are showing. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=132&am...

Thanks for the reply.

I had read the sticky and was searching for 320d touring when searching.
It seems that even though the title is "320d M-Sport touring" if you put in "320d touring" it won't find the car, you have to put "320d M-Sport Touring", it has to be exact.

It is making it quit tricky to look for stuff now. Put in 330i touring and it returns just onbe car, this is because there are others that have say "330i sport touring" in the title or "330i SE touring" which get ignored by the search.

I also think it would be better to have a flat fee, £2.99 for cars under £10k, £3.99 for cars under £15k and £4.99 for cars over £15k instead of premium and free adverts. So you can look through the cars that have been added since you were last on.

Hi gizlaroc,

The search function hasn't changed with the new launch of classifieds but we will take on board your comments as we are looking at redesigning it shortly as it is getting quite a few complaints and probably not the best design for the volume of classifieds we get now.

As a longterm member of the forums we have rewarded your loyalty with free premium classified ads, so you will be able to upgrade your ads to premium for free. If you dont have that option then send me a mail and I will link up the accounts (This can happen if you use a different email address for the classified account to your forum account)

Cheers, RP thumbup

Thanks for that, really is appreciated!!

There is still a problem with the search, if you go into say the 5 series section, and search for touring there is not one found.

It is just the search function that needs tweaking so it will find any word in the title and not need all of them.

Think it is on a Mac where the problems are.

Using a PC the search was fine, on my mac or my daughters the search has to be exact.

Put in 330 and it finds loads, put in 330i and it finds none!

Shouldn't make a difference with regards to the browser, computer or operating system as to the results from the search, as they are perfomed on our servers this end. But will have a look into this. Thanks for the info thumbup
