I noticed the off side engine mount on my 1994 Griff 500 is looking a little second hand.
How easy is this to change and has anyone got some top tips ?
I saw a thread the other day discussing alternate ones, which are the recommended and where can i source?
thanks
SC Power do a modified engine mount which is built to take SC type power. How easy is this to change and has anyone got some top tips ?

They are normally in Sprint.
Purchase the uprated engine mounts from SC power and/or there engine mount supports, unless you want to change your mounts in the future.
Get the front of your car up on some axle stands on a smooth ground, un-do one of your engine mounts 17mm if re-call, best to use a combination of open ended spanners rachet spanners and stubby spanners. Then jack your sump up with a trolly jack with a nice block of wood between the jack and your sump. Jack the sump from the opposite side of the engine mount you've loosened as you jack you engine up will pull the engine clear so the mount falls clear because the trolly jack lifts the engine upwards and away giving you the clearence needed. Then same again on the other side. Good luck!

ok got the mounts from sc power, but on the drivers side can't seem to get any clearance to get a 11/16 spanner on the lower stud that is on the mount. the nut is too close to the surround to get any thing on it. i removed the oil pressure sender to give some room but that didn't help.
anyone got any tips for this ?

Get a proper spanner(thin walled combination)its close but it can be done, your not removing the mounting plates off the engine block are you?anyone got any tips for this ?
wrong bolts ? not unless the sc power mount is different.
there are the two bolts on the flange, and the 2 studs coming out of the mount.its the 2 bolts on the studs i'm referring to. i can get a spanner on one no prob but the other is damn close to everything. i have a bergen ratchet also that requires only a few degrees between clicks but its too fat to get over the nut. a normal open ended spanner can't get the angle at the moment either.
are these 17mm then. I assumed the car was assembled using imperial as a 9/16 seemed to fit the exhaust manifold best.

11/16 is the same as 17mm(well as near as dammit)and i can only assume your spanners are to bulky there are the two bolts on the flange, and the 2 studs coming out of the mount.its the 2 bolts on the studs i'm referring to. i can get a spanner on one no prob but the other is damn close to everything. i have a bergen ratchet also that requires only a few degrees between clicks but its too fat to get over the nut. a normal open ended spanner can't get the angle at the moment either.
