Such a Shame TVR demised

I am writing this a little well oiled on rough local vodka in Baku and having recently watched a program on Discovery World whereby some supposed respected yank car modifier called Chip Foobs who was challenged to modify a Cadillac XLR, the supposed latest futuristic design by the company …ahem. Into something more alternative and different. The result, I agree was something better than the factory effort but way…, just way short and way behind anything TVR have done since at least 1998.
The Tuscan 2 (1999) leaves it for dead and the Sagaris, well no comment. The TVR Griffith is more futuristic.
It was very much make it up as we go along…! Yet the money involved in this program was obviously stupid. Watching something like this really made me appreciate the probable issues, difficulties and ultimately the good achievements TVR managed on no doubt such comparably short budgets.
I recall in the programme there was one scene whereby one of the shop hands took the front and rear valance away to the paint shop. The program made such temphasis that he drove a 1980’s 911 that was modified and sported a smoothed off body… ferkin Wow. I thought these dudes have never seen a Brit sports car let alone a TVR 3000 series. (Angry man orders another dodgy vodka mix).
Ok so Chip's job was not easy given the fact that he was restricted to the model he was given to improve upon ( an likely Cadilac would have a huge control on the project). But it resulted in looks like any other typical yank tank….with a new valance, roof and rear end…… do yanks have any idea about style? I recall it took a German to introduce them to the Corvette. Who did the Viper....? Good body... arse wheels...GREAT ENGINE.
I reckon that even today ….. show the 2001 Tuscan S and the Sag at the Detroit show next year and despite the current fuel costs, from a sports point of view such TVR models would take more orders on the day than any other sports car on the day.
The TVR's just need to have an emissions compliant engine….. Ohhh christ that’s likely to be a yank crate then huh? Glad I got my sorted S6… I guess we just have to let em read an weep state side for an S6 Tiv, at least until 2020 anyway.

of something new and putting it into practice; as long as it involves killing people.
The internal combustion engine.
The jet engine.
The Tank.
The concentration camp.

Don't mind if I join you, I got 20 litres of insanely hot home made ginger beer, which I cool down with 15 litres of triple fermented home made elderflower champagne, to be followed by last years home made Sloe Gin and home made Blackberry Brandy.
You can't by this kind of stuff in Asda (owned by Wal*Mart - USA) ....
...it takes good old British know how
