Family day Marham
Discussion
I had a call from the guy sorting everything out yesterday, I told him I would have to change my car details, he said that all they seemed to be worried about was personal details, I have his number if you need it, would be good to see you there, hopefully better weather than last year

I'm going, as I work at Marham. Time to show the missus where I work!
:shameless plug:I will be on the Help For Heroes Stall at some point though - make sure you all come along and buy a wristband, or at least donate some money! Please!:shameless plug over:
Thanks!
Oh, by the way, the Vulcan XH558 is on the flying program for the afternoon.
Can't wait to see it!

Hi tankerman24,
I'll pop down to your display and come and put my sticky pawprints over your cars then!
There was a draft copy of the flying program kicking about at work, I can't remember all the details, but some of the aircraft booked are: Typhoon, Red Arrows, BBMF, Vulcan, Hawker Hunter, obviously lots of Tornadoes, (the role demo is always impressive - very fast, very low, I guarantee it will make you jump!) and the RAF Falcons parachute display team. The Tornadoes are doing a flypast with the Vulcan too.
I'm sure there was more, and the flying programme has a habit of changing as more confirm, (the one I saw was on friday, and was version 9 or something!) I'll try to update you all when I go to work tonight.
This is the Hunter that flew last year:

So do I, and I've also got a set of front and rear brake pads (new) for a MK1 MR2 if you want them, Free !! Just want to get shot of them. That would be great, thanks! Where do you work? I can either come and get them from you at work, or can meet you at the F&F day if you're coming?
As promised, here's the latest list of confirmed aircraft on the flying programme. These are all obviously subject to change (again) due to serviceability issues, but fingers crossed:

I don't suppose you have any idea on the timings for the Vulcan have you ? Although I won't be there tommorrow I would like to keep my eyes (and ears) open as it may well be passing over our place on route.
It's due at Marham at 15:30, is doing a flypast on it's own, then one with the Tornado GR4's, so leaving about 15:45.
So keep your eyes peeled!
There's an airshow on at Lowestoft tomorrow and friday too, http://www.lowestoftairfestival.co.uk/ so a lot of the aircraft are leaving Marham and heading there. The Vulcan is scheduled to appear there too, (according to the website) so it may be going there after or before.

Have a good one tommorrow. Wish I was going
Well the weather was that nice today I said b*llocks to the work, so me and her indoors jumped in the 'stealth Clio' and headed over to Swaffham road at the rear of Marham.
Got there fairly late on, but time enough to see the end of the Tornado display and the whole of the Vulcan flypast. Couldn't have been in a better position as we (and several others) were right under the approach to the airfield. Really glad we went, the Vulcan was just awesome !
Hannah / Steve, how do you go about getting an invite to the family day ? Would be really interested in attending next year.
Hope you all had a great day on base.

Had a great time on Thursday! Glad Steve went as I didn't know anyone else - and what a CRACKING new car he has! Very very nice. You can't go wrong with a yellow V8.
I arrived in style in Scott's 205 GTi, was asked several times if I was a stallholder, to which I indignantly replied that I was a CLASSIC car.
Parked between a Ferrari & a Capri, neither of which was too happy about my classic status. That's what we like!
The flying display was extremely impressive, I'd never seen the Red Arrows before & they were simply amazing. Had to go about 2.30pm to do some honest work after Steve & I were told off by some RAF whippersnapper for going to close to the planes. Ooops.
Ian I'll PM you the contact details for SGT Paul Walsingham, absolutely great bloke who organises it (though I think this is his 1st year). I went originally with Scott's VX220 Turbo & my white MINI in 2006 & have been invited back every year since. Guess it's just me & Steve that turn up every year!
Here are some jolly nice photos for you - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=139745&l...
