Finally saw a good forecast this morning and thought at last can get the westy out for a decent blatdriving.
Headed up to the moors got up to Goathland and had to get my jumper and gloves on, already had the jacket on. Had a drink and a sarni at Beck hole then decided to head back as the weather was looking awful. Took some pics on the Stape road down to Pickering one of the fords was running fairly deep eekwhich is fun when you only have a few inch's ground clearance.

Notice the sky!
Most of the way back needed headlights and wipers on. It chucked it down at Malton. Back at Beverley its been fine.

Had a similar experience today. Went all the way up to Ampleforth, round some of the villages up there and back all with the VX roof off. Got back to garforth and it lashed it down!

Went out at 6, top down all the way and home by 8.15am - good way to start the day! Roads were mostly quiet (out towards the East Yorks coast).

The benefits of getting up early smile

That view as we came round a bend and saw the whole of Flamborough Head cliffs bathed in sun was truly stunning ... the one in my mirror of you sideways drifting round that right hander was quite impressive too. That bend, out of all of the many, is the one that nearly caught me out when I was up there with Ron a few weeks back. A little nearside wheel clipping the verge tends to focus the mind somewhat biggrin

And that fox, dead as it might have been, has done a right job on my front valance too, good job it's getting a nose job this winter as it looking somewhat battle weary hehe

Great roads, just need to sort out a better way of bypassing that middle bit.
