S-Type ZF 6 speed Gear box Lurch.. long term running ?
Discussion
So we all know that this box suffers from this problem known as the lurch
Well quite a few of them anyway
Does anyone know if this problem has been sorted and do many people just put up with it ?
Does the problem get worse to the point of box failure ?
Any input would be appreciated

If I recall somebody has set up a website all about this. Google "the lurch" (I think) to see if you can find it

Hi Steve yes your right but the site does not seem to have been updated recently so just wondered what was happening as i get the impression that this is quite a common problem HTH

Mmmm.. Might be difficult to get the problem solved without spending lots of cash although I've heard that somtimes loading new software can help.
Have you thought about joining the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club? Your membership fee will give you access to some technicial specalists who may be able to help, and £35 is a lot less than even a hours labour at a Jaguar dealership. You might also be able to locate an independent Jaguar specalist near you through the ads in the magazine.
Could be worth joining, and at least accessing some of the forums on the JEC site.
