Aahh the screaming balst thru wales on Sunday has come to my downfall. NIP 71 in a 60, from an unsigned, hiding in the bush van. ( I saw him on the way back )

Is there a way of grovelling to be let off? or do I fill in the forms and take my punishment like a man?

Grovelling will only get you laughed at

Go back, make sure all the speed limit signs are legal!

Ask for photograph as you're not sure who was driving... If it's not clear in the photo, consider your options not to implicate yourself under European Court of Human Rights.

Then don't sign it, that's if you really are the man you claim and have the balls for the fight

PS I'm no legal eagle

I was on my bike, and it would have to be the back of me, but I have the leathers, the helmet and the bike to match any photo they produce.

Would you have another set of leathers? If so, it wasn't you - they aint going to come round and storm your house looking for a set of leathers.

Are you sure it wasn't your mate from overseas borrowing your bike?

OK.

View 1:

They got you bang to rights. Regardless of whether they were hiding or not, YOU WERE BREAKING THE SPEED LIMIT, AND THE LAW. Therefore take it like a man.

View 2:

The speed limit is inappropriate, and you were riding safely, sensibly and at a reasonable for the road and conditions. Don't sign.

Your call.

You can NEVER be too sure when it comes to these things.
Maybe it was TWO mates, and it could have been either one of them. The cops *really* get stuck if you don't budge from your story.
