Anyone on here recommend a good transport/shipping company? We may be needing to send a load of blinds to turkey and/or Dubai in the next few months and would like to do some ground work in the meantime.Ta.

I'm used to moving bigger things than you but it's not going to hurt to start with DHL (they can move anything) or Panalpina, http://www.panalpina.com/www/gbr/en/home.html

Thanks Olf, will take a look.I was'nt initially too keen to get involved but it's for our biggest client and it would be silly to miss out on such a big contract just becausue the shipping side is an unknown.

Take your biggest client out to lunch, I assume that you do this occasionally anyway. Casually ask client if they have any preference on shopping companies.

Doesn't apply in this situation. They don't want, need or expect fancy lunches, just a job done quietly and efficently by a company they can always rely on.It's not that they have a preference for a shipping company,(they don't ship/export)its just that the top dogs would like us to do the supplying, rather than source locally in Dubai and Turkey.
