Guys, after a little help. Basically one of the struts snapped on my cerb so I have put a new set of Gaz coilovers on the car. These have not been set up and as a result the handling is terrible!

The car is going into a grage on Monday to get the suspension set up properly but I was wondering if anyone on here knows the geometry settings to make it handle well, just so I can give the garage a starting point?

Cheers

why don't you choose a garage that's already familiar with them and take it there? much easier in the long run ..

Not that much choice of garages up north, I think they have done tvr set ups in the past and also run racecars so I am fairly confident they will get the job done, just really wanted to give them a starting point.

I'd have thought the person selling you the shocks should have given you some starting points on all aspects of set-up but there you go.

Factory Settings Geometry March 2005

Front
0.5 to 0.75 degrees neg camber
Toe= 1.5mm overall toe in or 12 minutes

Rear
1.4 degrees neg camber
3.0mm overall toe in or 24minutes

Thanks for that, nope, I didnt get any advice from the company I bought the shocks from - or even a c spanner for that matter!!

Are the factory settings generally regarded as good for hnadling or can they be imporved upon ?

yes alot.

Depends what you want to use the car for realy, if it's mainly trackdays and hard driving then one setup will suit this, but will probably feel too focused for everyday road use.

So what do you want to use the car for?
Personally I'd take it to Jules (Trackcar) what he doesn't know about setting up Cerb's isn't worth knowing.

I'd have a word with your supplier because you get a C spanner with every kit!!!!!
I wouldn't change the rear much from those latest settings and the front will be fairly benign but for a more pointy car you might increase camber and slightly reduce toe.

Bit of a hike to Joo, I think the Drednought boys and girl know what they are doing.
