well modded 200sx could also be an option. And cheaper to run than both Skyline and Supra.

e.g. http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=360223

Celica GT4? Decat and EBC can see 300+.
GTS-T Skyline is single turbo RWD, max boost on stock turbo is 0.8 bar IIRC, but you need an uprated fuel pump.

What about a Mitsubishi 3000GT 3.0 v6 Twin Turbo, 4WD 320bhp Standard!!!!Add Boost controller your achieve 350bhp!! Change the injectors, fuel pump and add a maft pro and your get 400+bhp. Add a couple of turbos and your make 500+bhp!! These cars are cheap and they dont cost alot to get to 500bhp!! Just a thought.. hope this helps.

300zx TT? Bit of a medallion car but a later one should make 300bhp easily.

Very late model RX7 FD turbo but not sure they come under the £6K.

Then you have all the old rally homologation cars, Subarus, Mitsis etc.

You could get an RX7 for under £6K, shy of 300BHP when standard, but light which offsets it. Easy to tweak to ~300BHP

Tuned Mk1 Mr2 with Mk2 engine.

Could build a belter for £6k and get 300bhp no probs.

Soarer GT-T 2.5 Twin Turbo will fit the bill, its a Supra more or less with similar chassis, but has the 2.5 1JZ engine which is a short stroke version of the 3.0 2JZ. Standard 265bhp 330bhp with very basic mods. Nice cars too & cheap!!!

yes

I just picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. Paid just over 6k, but it's just had a fresh engine rebuild 3 months ago, which has now only done 800 miles, still under 2 year warranty, and the guys who rebuilt it estimated at around 310-320 bhp, with very basic mods and without playing with the boost.

They are fantastic cars, puts a smile on my face everyday.

good point didnt think about doing things that way round. car @ 1000 + rust sorting + engine conversion) so something like a mk1.5 would probably fall well within that.

My brother has a really nice RX-7 for sale for under 6k with a fresh engine rebuild from a reputable source, it was imported by an mx-5 importer for his own car, and so is one of the nicest examples i've seen. The car is just shy of 300bhp but like it says earlier they are light and give a huge smile when you drive em.

Hi Martin,

Not sure if it would fit what you are looking for, but I currently have my R32 GTR for sale. Have a look in the classifieds under "Immaculate R32GTR Nissan Skyline" and you'll see the details.

Alternatively have a look on the GTR forum or the Skyline Owners forum in the sales ads by user Id "Daz" - and you'll find more info and some feedback there.

Cheers,
Daz

Oh, an +1 for JM Imports, really helpful guys there, and they've got some lovely cars for sale.
