E 60 5 Series space saver

Am changing from 17" run flats onto 19" 'proper' tyres and have a question re space savers.

Obviously standard 5's don't come with a space saver, or a jack kit so I am looking at my options. Have checked the price of a space saver, and tyre from BMW and as suspected, they are taking the p155. Ebay is the same, due to the lack of them around. Is there another manufacturer that has the same offset and stud configuration that I could be looking at? I don't really want to go down the can of tyre mousse route either.

You have enough room in there to keep your 17" wheel

Buy a jack from Halfords and off you go...

I do indeed probably have enough room to keep one of the 17s, but I was hoping to "off-load" those somewhere. Yes I could use the proceeds to purchase a space saver from BMW but why should I have to line their pockets further?

It is an option, but one I was hoping to avoid.

How much are they asking ? Last time I looked they were about £90 for wheel / tyre pack.

Space saver spare wheel and tyre is £75 on the 5 series price list. I assume that includes a jack and wheel brace as they're not mentioned seperatly anywhere else on the list.

Might be £75 on the options list but to buy a 17" space saver wheel (the only size available) and tyre from BMW stealer spares dept is £153.97 inc vat, the jack kit is £99.50 so £253.47 total!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robbin' barstewards can sod off, hence why they're so expensive on Ebay and why my original question.

For those that want to take advantage of supply'n'demand, why not pick up an unwanted 17" run-flat from someone who is also doing the right thing and switching for tyres made the way Mr Dunlop intended?

Maybe buy a set of four and sell the reest individually to myriads of grateful individuals.
